Body Type 3 (P)

Description

Body Type 3 (P) has difficulty digesting all carbohydrates (e.g. rice, noodles, bread, pasta, potatoes, sweets) because they have a polysaccharolytic enzyme deficiency. This body type is therefore drawn to starches and sugars, and they often follow a more or less vegetarian diet.

They gain weight evenly all over, with shoulders and hips equal in width. Their buttocks are high and perky.

Nutrition

The Type 3 (P) will need to make a conscious effort to reduce starches and avoid sugars. Their diet should include “white” protein (e.g. chicken, fish, eggs) at every meal. If weight loss is desired, portion control and calorie restriction will be necessary.

Exercise

A total body workout is essential for this person. They need a balanced amount of weight training and cardiovascular activity to combat fatigue and increase endurance. 30-45 minutes of aerobic activity 4 times a week plus 2 days of circuit training, with a weight training program that allows minimal time for rest between sets, would be ideal.
